a place to call home

We finished up unpacking the very last boxes yesterday, and I finally got around to taking some real photos of our adorable home, enjoy!

The house is in North Portland, it's a 5 bedroom, two bath, however we turned the master into an arts and craft space. We're looking for a temporary 4th roomate, are you cute, and wanna live in an adorable house with 3 super fun, crafty girls? Send me an email!

So this is our home, minus the other girls bedrooms, and our retro 70's basement movie room. Soon to come!

I've been busy painting for work, and for fun, and I brought some of the gocco screen prints back for fall, they are up for sale in my Etsy shop <3

A scratchy and sore throat snuck up on me last night, and It's no better this morning, any helpful old remedies to get rid of it?

I'll be back with photos of paintings later this week, also some exciting news, and more fun pictures.

Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend! <3

I'm so glad you're back! I've been going through Little Bird Craft withdrawals.
Your new place is dynamite! I love it! If only I were moving to Portland, which would be a welcome change from Salt Lake.
Glad to see Cupcake is also liking the new digs!

i LOVE it. I don't think my husband would like it much if i moved out...otherwise I'd be raising my hand to be a roommate in this beautiful casa!

your house is super cute! We rent so we can't do a lot of decorating. We want to buy next year and I can't wait to be able to paint and make our house really "us"

Best wishes in your new home! Love the beautiful character of it! The inside is so neat and well organized. Try a cup of tea with honey for the throat.

Aye carumba, your house is beautiful!

Thanks for the inspiration :)

Juice of an orange, juice of a lemon, hot water, big spoon of honey and cayenne pepper is great for throats. If you're feeling really awful a crushed clove of garlic in there too is amazing...but only in emergencies cos it's fairly rough to drink!

I love your cute little house!! Especially all the special touches...the one armed rocking chair, the nautical bathroom, your wall of gold mirrors.

I think your paintings look amazing. And your craft area totally inspiring.

I can't wait to see the basement!

hope you are getting better…sore throat is not a lot of fun its just uncomfortable and difficult to swallow.

usually, i would take the Nim Jiom Cough Syrup which has a thick consistency formulation. it coats the throat and includes herbs that are particularly good for that application.

i hope it works on you as well.

OMG! Sooo cute! If I was single, no kids and didn't live in New Zealand, I'd be interested in that 4th room! lol

Glad to see you back on the blog. Elderberry tincture is the go-to remedy in our house at the moment.

wow, what a lovely place to live! the colors, the furniture, all the wonderful artwork and little treasures! wow!

we just moved into a new older house (rental) in june, and i noticed in the photos of the green bedroom, that you have the same ugly old heaters along the floors as we do. we have at least one in every room, some have two. ugh. they no longer work, but the owner never bothered to have them removed, and they are so hard to place furniture around! have you ladies had the same problems? any suggestions for me? anyway, i love your house. <3
