If you didn't know already..

I have a soft spot for tape.
And while browsing the world wide web I stumbled upon some amazing stuff.
Oh yes.

Wooden Tape Dispensers  from Tinted Mint. I think the darker one is my fave <3 They also have some super cute tape! Love!!!

I also finished some new paintings, a custom order for Kelli, her super cute dog, Finley.

If you are interested in a custom painting, contact me at xsiljex@gmail.com with details, pictures and size.

I also painted this, just for fun :)

I've been painting every day the last week, it's great to finally be really inspired again. I have some fun ideas for a new flash set, I'm super excited.

What are you up to this weekend?

step by step tea party.

I started on some sketches for my tattooed Alice in wonderland painting late last night, of course I had something totally different than I ended up with pictured in my head, but that's usually how it goes when I draw, I change my mind about 8 million times as I go.

I had originally planned to do some crazy looking trees and a table and stuff in the background, but it all ended up looking too busy, so I decided to only do Alice, a few mushrooms and two teapots. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

It was such a fun little project, so I wanted to share each step along the way from the sketch, to the final product :)

So here you go, my version of Alice in wonderland. 11x15". (click on the pictures for a better view of the details)

It's been a long day, Josh and I went all over the place, so I am super tired. I think I'll spend the rest of the night reading blogs, and catching up with stuff online.

I hope you all had a lovely Wednesday <3

Ronald Reagan has the best hair ever.

I just finished up a custom paint order from sweet Emalie, check out her cute blog, and her little dogs. They made me go awww. :)

I haven't painted much since I left Maine, but I am happy to be getting back into it again. FUN!

I painted some cute animals last night, prints are up for sale in my Etsy shop :)

Sunny Saturday.

We had another sunny day today, I got to talk to both my parents, I finished my projects, and I went shopping. All in all it has been a good day.

Just wanted to share some more pillows, the other two sold out overnight, so I just put these up for sale.

Trine asked what kind of paint I use for my water colors in my last post, so here you go.

They are Dr. martens synchromatic, and I LOVE them. I found they are pretty hard to come across, even online. So I usually buy a few each time. If you are into painting with water colors, and love bright colors, try them out. They are however not light fast, bummer, I know.

I also forgot to share a painting I did of Abraham Lincoln, for Josh for Christmas.

I've had a few blog readers ask If I do custom paintings, yes I do, If you are interested email me, xsiljex@gmail.com

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Happy Friday!

After weeks and weeks of rain, we finally had a little sunshine yesterday. It was such a beautiful day! Sunny, like I said, 55, no wind. Amazing.
We took Otis and Cupcake to the dog park, they got to run around and play, it was a good day :)

And who knew Cupcakes could climb trees!

I finished up another pillow yesterday morning, and I am dreaming of making a quilt the same way. love!!

I put the pillows up in my Etsy right after midnight, and they sold out overnight! So thank you, Pia. They are on their way to Norway, and I hope you enjoy them <3

I made some cute little pin cushions, similar to the pillows, they are currently up for sale in my Etsy shop. And they are
super cute!!

I got some painting done too, more nesting dolls :) I <3 them!
I just put prints up for sale as well, individuals, and sets, so check them out :)

I am working on some more paintings, something different this time, so I will share soon :)

I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend!

can you tell..

I am ready for spring?
I talked to my friend Christine earlier today, (check out her amazing interior blog, and her private blog! Eye candy for sure!), we we're exchanging links to fabric, Etsy, quilt ideas and such, and after we both signed off I was dying to make my own patchwork pillow. And what better idea to finally use some of my fabric odds and ends.

Oh yes.

I am so happy with the way the pillow turned out, I've never attempted patchwork before, and it was much easier than I though. Fun indeed!

How cute would this pillow be as a picnic pillow in the park, or on your couch just in time for spring. Ahh. I am so ready.

I will be updating my Etsy store this coming weekend with this pretty pillow, and more, so keep your eyes open for some cute stuff :)

Hope you all had a lovely Wednesday <3

Inspired and satisfied.

Josh and I just finished watching Long way round, a documentary with Ewan McGregor and his friend, Charley Boorman, who together drove the 20 000 miles from London to New York, on their motorbikes, as the British say.
If you haven't seen this, ( there are 10 episodes all together, the journey was made in 2004, and it aired on TV shortly there after), I highly recommend watching it.
It is so incredibly inspiring!...it also made me wanna travel.

I am however not about to drive 20 000 miles, but I am slowly finding my way around Portland, without getting lost. There is something very satisfying about knowing where you're going. I like it.

I just got back to from the gym, anyone else enjoy working out around midnight? I do love a non crowded gym. I was thinking about doing a lemon cleanse while I was still in KC, but kept putting it off. Now that I am not working, I figured it would be perfect.
I'm only talking 7-9 days or so. Has anyone else done it? Did it make you super weak/grumpy? Did you feel like it was worth it at the end?

I have some little sneak peaks to share, just something fun, and exciting for February.

I also made a few new aprons, up for sale in my Etsy shop.

I love, love, LOVE those fabrics, my mom and I found them at a really fun store in KC.

Well, it is getting really late, I should probably get some sleep.

night night <3

window shopper

It's been six months or so since I went shopping, how incredibly sad, I know. It's hard to justify new clothes and fancy things when I don't have a job. I'm not so sure about how much longer I can go without some retail therapy though.

Just wanted to share some cute eye candy I came across while window shopping the world wide web.

Enjoy <3

I just learned that forever21 has an entire nautical line. High fives all around!

Blue Satin nail polish from Chanel. LOVE, love, love blue.

I was rocking a slightly lighter shade on fingers and toes in Hawaii last summer - so in love <3

These super cute, and stylish Muir Woods Booties, vegan friendly even, from mod cloth.
To die for.

I have the biggest crush on these shorts, also from mod cloth.

How wonderful is this cloche! Adorable!
By liza rietz on Etsy.

I am slightly obsessed with this jacket from the ever so fabulous Betsey Johnson.

How about this little cute Nelly doll from anthropologie. <3

What are you shopping for?

night night <3
